The purpose of my project three is to inform/persuade FSU students on why studying abroad is a good choice. Some examples the book uses genres to persuades are ads like one a car dealership would use. For my project, I will be using a flyer to catch the eye of students. Most people are familiar about my topic; however, if they are not, my Instagram posts and my formal discussion I will be having will help inform their decision. The assumptions the audience makes about my topic is it costs a lot of money, but it does provide something different on your resume.
I will be being using platforms that this era does like Instagram. Through Instagram, which almost all college kids use every day, we can inform them while they are casually taking a break from their studies. The best mode is through social media; however, social media cannot have long paragraphs because people get disinterested. That is what my flyer and meeting is for to explain to those who are interested a little bit more. The favorite genres to compose in are flyers, Instagram, and speeches (meeting on side walk we will never have). Some of the skills that will help me with these modes is my 10 years of experience with working with Instagram in conjunction with my brief exploration of flyer making.
